 I have always dreamed of helping others through horses.  The best of both of my worlds came together when joining CCC, with my love for horses and as an accountant.  My prayers were answered and the journey so far has been amazing.  I have a family member serving in the Military and CCC will be giving back to those who have given so much to our communities and to our country.   With your help this organization will change lives as it has already changed mine. 

Hello, I am Kayla Howard, an equine professional at CCC.  In college I was given the opportunity to intern at an equestrian assisted center and I saw first hand the amazing benefits the clients had from interacting with horses. I am so excited to be involved in this organization and to see all the lives blessed by CCC.  THANK YOU to all who have donated to this wonderful organization. 

Trauma and PTSD are real. As a former law enforcement and the spouse of an EMT, I have both witnessed and lived the effects  that can change lives forever. What I’ve come to see is extraordinary: horses don’t judge, condemn, or hold grudges.  As a board member  Ive had the privilege of witnessing the healing of connection. I've seen hope restored in Veterans, 1st responders, and those who thought they had nowhere else to turn. Your support makes a real difference and I invite you to continue walking alongside us as we bring healing and hope, one hoofbeat at a time. 

Through my life experiences, I discovered equine therapy. I attribute my volunteering experiences with equine therapy as one avenue on my healing journey and now being a part of CCC provides me with opportunities to help others in their personal healing journeys.  I have several members of my family serving in the Military and your support giving back to all of these heroes is greatly appreciated.

My name is Sunny and I believe myself to be the leader of the pack.  I came to CCC to help manage the other horses.  I'm the one that tells you, it's pasture bedtime.  As far as my upkeep, I prefer the caked on "mud look," you know, ruggedly handsome. I'm always saying that there’s really no need to brush me, because I'm just going to roll around in the mud every chance I get.  Thank you for your support in this program.  If you see it in your heart, I would appreciate your sponsorship for me on a monthly basis.  It takes a lot for me to manage this place and we value your support.

Sunny said that he is the leader. That's rich. I will have a talk with him. I may be the youngest of the crew and sometimes I may appear to be standoffish, but its only because I herd others like to admire me from afar.  I have also been told that I am the class clown. I mean really, if the others want to step up and get a drink it's not my fault if they get all wet when I sneak up.  I usually  get a kick out of it and it's haylarious to watch them run away.  But seriously, stop horsing around and choose to sponsor me monthly if you are so inclined.  I am the mane man.   We can't do this without your generosity.

Hello Humans:

Have you Herd? It is straight from the horse's mouth.  I'm here & have joined the crew. I like letting the others think they are superior as they make foals of themselves. Tex and I are like brothers, in fact it is hard to tell us apart.  We get a kick out of switching places & confusing the owners!  I would say there are only 2 things I'm afraid of: Things that move and things that don't move.  Anyway, can I ask you equestrian? Neigh? Ok, stop stalling and if you can find it in your heart, please sponsor the new kid on the block; (me) for 1 month or 2 or 6?

Mariah – “The Red-Headed Diva”
Well hello,  I’m a red mare with a red-headed temper to match. One moment you’ll catch me striking my best runway pose across the pasture, and the next you’ll find me giving Shadow my Diva eye and watch her run away.   That’s just who I am — fabulous and unpredictable. Some call me sassy, I call it unforgettable charm.

Hayyy, I’m Shadow! 🐴💙 I came to CCC with Mariah and I really am her shadow.  We are inseparable and even though I’m one of the silliest horses here, deep down I’m jus’ a big ole’ puppy. I love bein’ close, maybe a little too close sometimes, but it’s only because I wanna be your friend. If you’re brushing another horse, don’t be surprised when my nose sneaks over to you too.  I get so excited to meet new people. My favorite thing is making humans smile.

I’m Duchess, the queen bee. I’ve earned my crown, gracefully, of course. I decide when it’s time for me to move, when it’s time for me to eat, and when it’s time for me to just stand around and look important. The younger horses sometimes get ideas about running the show. Cute.  Think of me as the wise grandma  Please don’t rush me.
